Bodrum Town
The town of Bodrum and its surrounding peninsula is
a beautiful area, and a popular tourist destination. Bodrum
boasts some of the best shopping in Turkey, combined with
a wide selection of restaurants, bars and night clubs
- making it a hive of activity in the busy summer months
and popular with all people of all ages.
Bodrum's elegant cobbled streets, magnificent harbour
and a world renowned castle make it an extremely popular
area for property purchase. An added bonus of Bodrum is
that most of the property plots are on the incline of
the natural bay, so a sea view is more or less the norm.
It is easy to jump on a boat for the day, maybe take a
trip to the Greek island of Kos. For a quieter location,
the smaller peninsula resorts around Bodrum offer tranquillity,
relaxed beaches and spectacular views.
The town of Bodrum is a 35 minute drive from Bodrum Milas
airport.
Bodrum Schools
As well as offering a perfect summer retreat, Bodrum
is becoming an attractive place for those wishing to break
out of the UK completely. For those with children, the
thought of pulling them out of school can seem daunting.
As well as a good state education system (all taught in
Turkish), Bodrum also offers some of the best private
schools in Turkey. The Marmara College, for example, has
ties with one of the biggest schools in Istanbul and the
Gurcaglar College which is linked to a major education
institute in Ankara.
