| The building is a result of the renovation
and extension work of an old mansion which
used to belong to Manuel Martins Manso, who was the bishop
of Guarda. The construction of the house began in the first
half of the 18th century, and the main wall has some of
the typical characteristics of a nobleman’s house
or lord of the north wind mountain area from the end of
the 17th and 18th century.
The mansion is also known as a good example of the erudite
rural architecture of the 19th century in the region. It
has a private chapel dedicated to Nuestra Señora
de la Concepción, a garden and a coat of arms on
its main wall. On 4 April 1996 it was declared a Building
of Architectural Relevance. The Mansion has 4 twin rooms,
4 double and 1 suite.
