Holidays in Hungary
For many people a holiday in Hungary is a short trip to Budapest
the capital and it’s true that in a country of only
10 million over 2 million live in Budapest as really it is
3 cities rolled into one. Óbuda , the oldest area with
its Roman ruins, Buda famous for the castle hill and more
residential and pest to the East, the commercial district,
shopping centre and night life separated by the River Danube.

Travel to Hungary
To holiday in Budapest is to wallow in Culture, known as
queen of the Danube, Budapest has undergone considerable
development in recent years due mainly to its accession
to the E.U it has however balanced this growth by retaining
its old charm and atmosphere. No trip here would be complete
without experiencing the thermal waters, there are over
100 thermal springs and health Spas are everywhere, the
perfect place to unwind. The Danube is at the heart of everything
here, go to the Danube bend a lovely stretch of twists and
curves beginning at Esztergom and finishing at Visegrad
where it splits into two. Lake Balaton is one of Europe’s
largest lakes, where you can take part in fishing, boating
and sailing. There are some resorts around the lake that
offer peaceful breaks and cycling on the flat lands.
Hungary also has Spas all over the country and many hotels
offer spa breaks that you can combine with Golf breaks,
hiking or even potholing in the ubiquitous caves.
