Holidays in Bulgaria
Bulgaria has began to diversify its offerings for the more
discerning holidaymaker with sports such as windsurfing
becoming more popular, September is the best month for serious
surfers as the wind is stronger and more predictable. Now
almost every black sea resort boasts a surf club, ideal
for beginners and intermediates looking for some holiday
fun. However Sunny beach is still the popular destination
with the widest beaches and numerous hotels set along the
shore and amongst the sand dunes. Night life is excellent
with over 120 restaurants, bars, night clubs, discos etc,
prices are very reasonable too and with an average daily
temperature of 27c throughout the summer you are sure to
be up partying most of the night when it gets cooler.
Skiing in Bulgaria has also become more popular with resorts
in Bansko, Borevets, Pamporovo, Chepelare and Vitosha.
Both Skiing and snowboarding are available and the standards
of accommodation are generally good and getting better,
the food still has some way to go in some resorts when compared
to France and Switzerland but it definitely offers value
for money winter Skiing.
